When it's time to embrace the capsule wardrobe but you have no idea where to start? I have some tips on decluttering your wardrobe, so keep reading!

If you are looking at creating a capsule wardrobe remember that it should only consist of key items that you love and will wear often. Think classic, simple pieces and invest in good seperates. If there are items in your wardrobe that you have never worn because they were impulse purchases, it's time to cull.

I set a rule for myself that if I haven't worn it in the last year, it was time to let it go.

Once you have pulled out the pieces that won't be making a reappearance in your wardrobe, create two piles. For items that are still in relatively good condition, consider donating them to someone else. For those pieces that are harder to let go because you invested money, or have never actually worn them, consider selling them.

Save yourself some time and extra effort of having to do large cull once or even twice a year by checking over your wardrobe for unneeded pieces every couple of months. If you are looking for further details on How to Declutter Your Wardrobe, I suggest looking to Pinterest for extra tips!
