Minimalist Bedroom

My room was slowly becoming over cluttered and neglected, so it seems like the perfect time for a bedroom overhaul. I went through a couple of interior design phases the last couple of months and finally decided I really wanted to create a minimal looking bedroom, without sacrificing functionality.
The first task was to remove some of my old furniture and create an organised list of what i really need din my bedroom; a bed and a large dresser. Even though I have attempted to keep a mostly while palette with the furniture I knew I couldn't have room that was completely bare. To add a more personal touch, I decided to add accents with a modern twist; such as a decorated quilt cover.
These elements add a far more modern minimalist edge that could be transferred to the rest of my potential apartment. To be honest, removing so much furniture seemed overwhelming. Even though this is still a work in progress, I'm happy with how it is coming along and hopefully I will continue to only add pieces that I truly love into my room.
